Brass Injury Rehabilitation

Back in my first orchestra job, I obtained a brass injury that completely changed the course of my career. It was debilitating mentally and emotionally while dealing with the physical manifestations of what was happening. After leaving that job and attempting to play for those 2 years with an injury, I had to completely break down and re-learn how to the play the horn again. It tested my mental limits, put unnecessary strain on my emotional well-being, and ultimately forced me to truly question whether or not this career path was right for me. After several years of building myself back up, I have come to learn, accept, and be proud of my persistence to trust in the process, no matter how slow.

If this sounds like you, or something you're going through, I'd love to be of service. I have developed some very basic and comprehensive exercises that not only address the root cause of most brass injuries, but also can aid with the psychological toll an injury like this can cause. I came to realize at some point, most injuries or rehabilitations like this are more mentally challenging than anything. Focusing on my mental well-being through life coaching and becoming a holistic life coach allowed me to come out on the other side of my injury a more confident and whole musician and person.
